Study Carried out by RSA Features on BBC's 'The One Show'
A study commissioned by the RAC Foundation into the effect of Average Speed Cameras has appeared on BBC's The One Show and featured RSA Director, Richard Owen.
We are pleased to announce that the RAC Foundation have commissioned RSA to produce an independent report looking into the effectiveness of average speed cameras in Great Britain. Rather than relying on data produced by the operators of the equipment, we have gone back to basics and independently assessed each installation, plotted site boundaries and matched collisions. The report will also use appropriate control groups, review the impact of trend, and assess site selection periods where available. The initial results which were featured on the BBC show revealed the relatively large increase in sites installed over the last three years with 12 commissioned in 2015 alone. The report will be published in the summer and will feature at the RSGB conference in Bristol this November.
